In 1992 the Moscow Circus tracked Previte down on tour and hired him to create all the music to their new act, which opened on Broadway at the Gershwin Theater. This music became the fourth Gramavision release, “Music of the Moscow Circus.” Written for the various circus acts, this CD reads like a soundtrack for an aerial ballet, with everything from a classically inspired piano piece to a shredding electronic noisefest. New York Newsday—“The most unreal circus you will ever see, partly because of Previte’s haunting and audaciously impressionistic score.” And from the Buffalo News—“The music is altogether extraordinary, from its opening conflagration of chattering brass to the suspended animation of its piano etudes.” A completely different and fresh offering from Previte, and out of print.

Can't believe this album is in so few collections here on bandcamp. One of the greatest fusion albums i've heard! (also the other albums of Yo Miles!) bartel hulst

Another Cuneiform Records special weekend deal too good to be passed: Wonderful combination of Mr Frisell's beautiful guitar playing and clever arrangements for a great bigband. Carsten Pieper
